Hi Kenneth,

Welcome to the forum.
I'm glad you speak good English because your blog needs more pictures for me, haha. The words have me lost.
Some mouth watering pictures there though.

Ciao Kennet,
Welcome
Excuse my bad English language ( I am Italian ).
How long are you shooting with Bleiker Challenger?
With this rifle you did the jump in quality or even earlier fired like "Champion"?
I admire (and envy) the shooters who have become champions.... Bravo !!!!
I heard last year of this rifle made in Switzerland.
Is as reliable as Anschutz?
What are the qualities of Bleiker? I know that it has loaded bolt rear ...
You use Eley Tenex .... speed ----1059/1061 feet / second?

Bleiker is a rifle that attracts me a lot .....

Thank You

Hi Massimo, I been shooting with this system for 1 year now. I dont you get better test result when testing ammo. My old anschutz system would produze the same results. However finding ammo that really good has become more easy. Whats better with bleiker ? I think that the tolerances is very tight, a tight loading system is optimal - not like the anschutz which seems very slobby. One problem could be service when traveling to other contries ;-)

I like the way you use your blog page as a shooting diary, logging your alterations and performance etc. Very easy to follow.

You have a great set up there Kenneth. I wish you well.

Ken
if you come in Italy (Milan - Bologna - Brescia) for some International Competition I come to say greeting to you, without giving too much trouble.
In that occasion, if the technicians of Anschutz come with their stand, I do revise my 1913 and 9003.

ciao

I was impressed at how you used your blog as a sort of journal charting your trials, results and personal progress.
I'm more of a computer person than "write in a book" person so I thought I might adopt your example, well, give it a go anyway and see if I can stick to it. It may even be useful to hold me to task.
It may even generate some discussion and good advice, or even benefit someone else.

Yes, 25yds actually. Our standard indoor format here. Some weird ranges in the South Island shoot 20yds. crazy wink

Hey fella, there are some weird ranges in the north too albeit few and far between. We just like to show off our versatility down here in the south, makes you think your working harder too.

Ciao Hei Ken,
I saw your 45 shots on 6 February. I see you're working on the distance of the grip and trigger.
I am a marksman of low ranking but I am doing similar work on my 9003 air and 1913 to try to improve.Lately I've been working to reduce first stage weight and trigger weight and trigger stop.

You did wonderful shots. I see your excellent shots close a hole in one!
You know you have found large differences in stability?

Last year on my 1913 I mounted an old butt-plate, placed weights on the barrel and bottom of the alu-stock. Total weight kg. 7.100 / 7.200. Stability is improved and even when I make a perfect 10 score, the barrel not rises toward the top but down .I made some 99 and 100 in training and some 99 in competition (we shoot only at open).Shortly with the new importer Eley I will test bench with Tenex for the new season

In march when the weather will be better I take to shot at 50 meters I want to experiment with a tuner to stabilize the barrel. I'll see how it goes.
According to your experience which is the development of the rifle that gave you the best result (apart from a constant and serious training)?
A good customization and adaptation of rifle on shooter gives " magical sting " to emerge, have you some trick of the trade to improve?

Tak

Max

Hi Max, your asking for tricks :-)
I not sure if there are any tricks, but the one you already said. What works for me might not work for you. If you could get your hands on a Scatt system, or beter borrow one for some weeks :-) you get lot of info on how you shooting looks like. Adjusting the rifle and testing againg and again will show you which works for you. Another way when training live, whenever you get a bad shot, analyze and try to find the reason for the bad shot.
Training indoor eliminate the weather factors as wind, sun - rain. I asume that your ammunision is good ? Perhaps you could get some one to look at your prone posision and to check if everything looks right. If your got some prone pictures you could try to drop them here - there migt be some comments :-)
All the best,
Ken

Hej
Ken you're right!
Unfortunately, my shooting club is small and currently we can not afford Scatt and even electronic-target.
The shooters are all different and so is the controlling weapons and positions.what's good for you no good to me.
For my position I think is good light I have also problems with the lumbar and cervical and periarthritis bilateral ( I am 59 years old ).........
I know that distance is difficult to give advice .... but right about new ideas. All advice is welcome.
I want to ask you which (according to your experience) is one of the most serious mistakes that can make a shooter or what is undervalued position, sling tension, tilt weapon. etc.).
Where have you worked harder?
I'm also looking for a friend who makes excellent results in training but sometimes in competition under stress has variable results and I can not understand him to shoot with a steady rhythm

ciao

See here to left my 10 shots made at the open in 2009

...........
One of the things that makes me more angry.....
when after a good set of 10 in mouches I suddenly escapes a bad 9 or worse an 8 ..... and after 97/96/97 ..a little to 90/93.

Sometimes I do sets of shots seeming to be By two different .... Dr. Jakyll and Mr. Hide.
probably caused by age :-((((
If I had 20 years less !!!!!

When the temperature is not so cold, I and my friends started to shoot and do the photographs....I shall send you by email

thank you

Dear Max, all of the things you said counts, so it very importent that you do the same things every time. The angle of tilting the rifle can be adjusted by a placing a libelle, and the problem is eliminated. In my opinion a too tight sling would produce more pulse. A loose sling wont give any support, so everything in between will do. When aiming and beeing in releaxed posision the rifle should be pointing direct at center of the target.

Dearest Ken,
In fact last year I worked on this in particular.....releaxed posision.... yesssss :-)))
Focusing on the target if I feel tension I began again until the rifle is not pointing in. Every little tension is paid with anomalous shots ! :-((((((
I put, between a shot and the following, a T-shaped backing of aluminum under the rifle (outside the protection of the trigger) and I relax the left arm without losing position. And it works! :-D
Place the butt plate and the left elbow are the most important problems to solve, always able to replicate the same position is something really complicated. :-S
Here is one of the nodes to extricate to be able to make serious points ...... otherwise shots are just " holes". %-/
As I have already said a few days settle a dumper on the rifle, because I fear and I can not hold the vibration at the shot. This reduces vibration and improves test shots groups. :-))))))))))
This tool is already used by some of our bench-rest shooters and gave excellent results. One of these friends (Bench 2009 Italian champion) won a match at European level in Germany and he scrambled the strong German team. :-))DDD
