Yeah Gum boots, the creek between the car park area and the range will probably be flowing and as I said our bridge got washed away last year and we haven't been able to find it or a replacement!

The range is about halfway down the left hand side of the map on Hawksbury road where the creek does a loop and crosses the road, between the H & k of the name Hawksbury

Heres some Google Earth views of the range, the marker is in the car parking area. Note the bridge across the creek to the range area, It got washed away in a major flood of the area last year and hasn't been replaced yet so if the water is flowing you will need to cross it probably a little downstream of the bridge location and Gumboots might be a good idea.

UPDATE: All sorted at the range now so your gummies shouldn't be required to cross the creek.

Yes, I have found my rifle, dragged it out of the lock up, but still to chase the spiders away, a friend is hooking me up with some bullets.
Leaving tomorrow for the long trip down.

Haven't shot at the champs for a few years, but am looking forward to catching up with everyone. Always a great weekend.

Just to add to the confusion, the Wairau Outdoor Smallbore Rifle Club are conducting their Championship back on their home range this year (2011) Labour weekend. for the location take a look above at other posts with pictures and maps. I have posted yet another map on the sister forum news and events (its an Excel file format)
PS, unless there is significant rain in the meantime, the creek should be dry this year.
