To Associations, Clubs and all members of TSNZ
The TSNZ office has been informed of a rumour that has been circulating around associations that an executive nominee has withdrawn his nomination and it appears to be deliberate. As of Tuesday the seventh October five TSNZ members have contacted this office to complain that an executive nominee had rung some assn’s in the previous week to inform them of this withdrawal. It appears some associations have accepted this communication as gospel and informed their members.
The TSNZ office can categorically inform the TSNZ membership that, after contacting Mr Ralph Small, he has not withdrawn his nomination.
The office asks all members to check with their Assn secretaries and recheck how voting has proceeded given this false information was circulated but not confirmed by this office.
We have been informed that at least one assn has changed their vote after receiving this false information and posted their papers.
The TSNZ executive invite all associations to resubmit a new voting paper, if they have already done so, with a clear notation that the second voting paper overrides the one
previously sent.
If at the AGM, any assn believe that due to unsubstantiated evidence having been circulated that they believe may have influenced the voting, the voting can be declared null and void.
The constitution gives a cut off date as rule 7.2.3 as per 15th October
Kind Regards
