Shooting Mat - Although not a required item, it sure beats the heck out laying on the ground or the cold cement. You can get away with using a door mat or a piece of old carpet that you roll up and take to the range. Mats come in all shapes and styles, when shopping for one, make sure you ask if it is left handed or right handed. The mat will have some non slip material for your elbow and it will do you no good if it’s on the wrong side when in the prone position. Some of the new ones, have the non slip material on both sides.
